The MAKERA Carvera 4-axis module with harmonic drive significantly expands the milling machine’s capabilities, enabling the machining of cylindrical parts, double-sided projects, and complex 3D shapes. Thanks to simultaneous operation across four axes, you can create realistic 3D models from materials such as wood, plastics, or non-ferrous metals, without the limitations typical of 3D printing. The improved design supports 4th-axis homing and working coordinate setting functions, which translates to greater control over the process. To ensure full compatibility with the Carvera milling machine, the kit includes adapters and mounting tools that must be installed before first use according to the instructions.

Precision and Smoothness in Every Movement

The use of a harmonic drive ensures exceptional precision and minimal backlash, resulting in smooth and stable movement even during highly demanding projects. The module uses a Nema17 stepper motor, reaches a maximum speed of 2400 rpm, and achieves a rotation precision of 0.01°, allowing for the production of parts requiring high accuracy and repeatability. The working area measures 9.2 cm in diameter and 24 cm in length, and the compact design, weighing 2.5 kg, ensures convenient integration with the machine.

Intuitive operation and broad compatibility

Integration with Carver milling machine features, such as automatic tool change, auto-probing, and the positioning system, makes configuring 4-axis operation quick and intuitive. Makera CAM software allows for easy project preparation and conversion of 3D models to G-code, while compatibility with programs such as Fusion 360 and VCarve gives you the freedom to work in a familiar environment. As a result, the module is suitable for both more advanced applications and for developing your own CNC projects.
