With this break out board, you can expand your Raspberry with a serial RS485 interface.

Technical data:

Model: RS485 Breakout Kit

Used Controller: Maxim MAX481 DS

Function: Translates the UART signals from GPIO14(TXD) and GPIO15 (RXD) to RS485 level and outputs them to the DB9 connector on pin 2 (A) and pin 3 (B)

Pin-Assignment: On the additional pin headers, it is also possible to access the GPIO signals directly. The assignment of the additional header is indicated directly on the expansion board.
